ABSOLUTE HEAT-FLUX CALIBRATION (STATIC / MEAN VALUE)
Precise absolute calibration is key for all heat-flux measurements. The absolute calibration delivers the (static) sensitivity of heat-flux sensors. In our calibration facilities, sensors sensitivities for convection and radiation can be precisely determined. We offer customized full-chain calibration including sensors and amplifier systems in differnent heat-flux and precision ranges:
- Radiation-based calibration (laser, different wavelengths)
- Convection-based calibration (based on hot- and cold-air jets)
- Excellent comparison with other commercially available heat-flux sensors and temperature-based heat-flux measurements (uncertainty 5 to 10 % depending on heat-flux range)
DYNAMIC CALIBRATION (FREQUENCY-RESPONSE FUNCTION)
Dynamic calibration is of key importance for quantitative high-frequency measurements and sensors with low time constants. It delivers the frequency-response function (magnitute & phase relations). Our facility determines precisily the amplitude frequency response (AFR) & phase characteristics of complete measurement chain (sensor & amplifier) up to the MHz-range. We offer customized full-chain calibration for differnent freqency and precision ranges:
- Laser-based calibration based on sine-wave or step-like excitation (MHz-range)
- Response time and cut-off frequency determination (microsecond range)
